Description and Title of Lecture/ Workshop - The Big, The Bold, The Beautiful: Working with African Fabrics in Quilts. is a lecture and trunk show with a focus specifically on quilts that I've created using African wax fabrics. I give an overview of what African prints are, where they come from, which ones work best for patchwork etc. I also share tips on how I use these textiles in quilts and share pictures of some of my work and give examples of some simple ways to begin incorporating them into quilt projects. A Q & A portion follows the presentation.
