This is a work in progress from more of the oriental fabrics I had left over, I also added some florals. Used up all of my fat quarters, now I have 1/4 yd pieces left which will be used with my Kimono when I find another pattern.

While searching through some drawers, I found this cute little snowman. It was just the snowman pieces already fused, so I fused it to a background and added the border. (It now has the binding sewn on.)

I recently finished my Coral Reef quilt by Quiltworx. It is paper pieced. The name of my quilt is “Hot Momma.”

This is the result. Since I used 6 Sashiki blocks I made measuring 12 1/2", I had to cut the Kimono to that size, so I was only able to get 2 blocks from the back. (I still have the rest for a further project.) Through the years I collected oriental fabrics and wanted to use them up too, so I added them to fill out the top, added sashing and corner stones, now it's a wall hanging. Problem: I don't know how to quilt this. Any ideas would be welcomed.

My older brother was stationed in Korea in the mid 50s and sent me this Kimono. I was about 8 or 9 at the time. I stored it away and always wanted to .make something out of it when I started quilting.

I also came across a bag of 2 1/2” strips, so decided to give the rug pattern a try. Fun, but quite a bit of work. My cat loves it! I cut up strips from leftover batting.

I made a table runner from Missouri Star Quilt Company, and then saw a free pattern for a wall hanging from Jordan’s Quilts. It was after the fact, but now I’m ready for next Valentines Day.
